As part of the Department's Publication Scheme, we are pleased to make available Gazette notices and plans in respect of Boundary Plans (BP) and Prescribed Composite Maps (PCM). These are the two key drawings and notices in the compulsory acquisition of property for the construction of new roads. The notices are official publication of an impending action; the plan outlines the land affected by it.
Persons with land affected by a road scheme may be entitled to compensation, but should note that the right to claim is time-limited. If in doubt, it is recommended that you immediately contact the Department, or speak to a chartered surveyor who has experience dealing with compensation matters.
Notices and Plans will be available for all BPs and PCMs from June 2010. Previously published plans are available for inspection free of charge at Lands & Survey, but may also be published here where relating to significant road schemes.
